SMART CLASSROOMS: Return of expo an e-learning experience
State school educators are encouraged to get in early and secure their place at this year's two-day e-Learning Innovation Expo in September.
eLearning branch director Laurie Campbell said the Brisbane expo helped teachers connect with the latest developments and thinking on information and communication technology (ICT) in education.
'I urge staff who want to learn about the latest in ICT from the best state school teachers, local and international industry experts to get their early bird tickets now,' Mr Campbell said.
'This year we have expanded the expo to two days, letting us double the number of guest speakers, hands-on workshops and learning opportunities.'
Mr Campbell said there would be a range of speakers, including three international guests and classroom practitioners, as well as industry displays and presentations by Smart Classrooms Teacher Award winners.
'There will be workshops and seminars to keep teachers informed and inspired about the learning applications of new and emerging technologies,' he said.
'Delegates will be able to network with industry representatives and discuss the best ways to integrate new ICT into classrooms.'
Staff have the option to attend the popular event for one or both days at the Brisbane Powerhouse from September 8 to 9.For more information visit the Smart Classrooms website.
