 Headlined by the director of, Michael Furdyk external page (will open in a new window), this conference will illustrate how learning can happen anywhere, anytime using online learning spaces available through Education Queensland.

'This event is designed to provide Year 7-9 teachers with inspiration and ideas for using ICT in the classroom,' said organiser Renai McLean.

'We are very lucky to have Michael Furdyk presenting for us - he truly is an inspiration and external page (will open in a new window) has used ICT to connect students on social issues all over the world.'

Held at the ICT Learning Innovation Centre on the Sunshine Coast, the conference will cover a range of subjects, from the use of Blackboard, Virtual Classrooms, iConnect to using your Computers for Teachers laptop effectively.

Key Department of Education and Training initiatives including the Student ICT Expectations and Ways to develop literacy across the years of schooling Adobe PDF document will also be addressed.

With the release of the Student ICT Expectations, now is the perfect opportunity for teachers to discover what ICT is available to help students meet these targets.

The cost is $300 per person (excluding GST).

An optional post-event web conference on July 20 will also allow delegates to reflect on the conference.
