About the Calendar of Special Events

The Calendar of Special Events is compiled annually from information supplied by various community and government organisations. Readers should contact the organiser listed with each event to confirm dates or make further enquiries.

Registering events

Organisations or persons wishing to register an event for inclusion in the Education Queensland Calendar of Special Events should submit details via the event registration form.

Publication of an event in the calendar is at the discretion of Education Queensland. Events must be relevant to the general business of Education Queensland and school communities and must not be overly commercial in nature - the calendar is not an advertising medium for commercial enterprises.

Schools are encouraged to register school based community events such as fetes, musicals and sports carnivals.
