Pilot of Homestay for geographically isolated students

Queensland secondary students from rural and remote communities have a greater choice of state high schools at which to study under an expanded Homestay program.

The expanded program gives eligible Year 8 to 12 'geographically isolated' students the chance to study away from home at one of 16 state high schools while boarding with either a relative or a local family to complete their education.

Geographically isolated families are invited to complete an application form for your child to be considered for participation in the homestay pilot.

An information statement (new window) Microsoft® Word document provides further details about the homestay pilot.
