The Queensland Academies Isolated Students (QAIS) Bursary is a category of financial support provided by the department to support rural and remote students attending one of the Department's three specialised Queensland Academies in South East Queensland.
The new QAIS Bursary supports talented students from rural and remote areas who are not eligible for the Living Away From Home Allowance Scheme
(LAFHAS) to access financial support for travel and accommodation whilst attending an academy.
