Information for parents/carers

Parents and carers play an important role in helping a child feel positive about starting school. Transitioning to Prep is an ongoing process in which children may feel a combination of emotions. Some days children may feel happy and confident. Whereas at other times they may appear sad, anxious, tired or overwhelmed. These are all typical responses as children adjust to new physical and social environments, with new sets of routines and expectations.
