Where is the Camp Fairbairn Outdoor Education Centre?

Camp Fairbairn Outdoor Education Centre (FOEC) is a unique facility situated on the foreshore of Fairbairn Dam and is located 27 km south of Emerald on the Central Highlands. It is a Band 7 Education Queensland school offering a wide range of outdoor and environmental educational activities to a multitude of schools from preschool to high school, state and private, from eastern central to western central Queensland.

Camp Fairbairn Outdoor Education Centre 's 'vision ' is to:

What does the Camp Fairbairn Outdoor Education Centre provide?

Services offered by CFOEC include student programs, professional development and resource support services. These services are available to students and staff from primary, secondary, distance and special education campuses, as well as other Education Queensland personnel. Tertiary education and community groups may also access CFOEC.

Residential facilities, including a dormitory camp and a tent camp, allow clients to remain on site through their visit and a wide range of curriculum facilities and resources are available for program implementation.

Camp Fairbairn Outdoor Education Centre has developed a diverse range of outdoor, adventure and environmental activities:
