To assist schools in the co-ordination of the biennial state-wide Fanfare festival of bands and orchestras from Queensland State Schools.

Duration of program

On-going since 1985.

Fanfare is a biennial program held every two years.


Queensland State schools with identified and approved Fanfare regional co-ordinators.

Allocation of funds

Funding may be available to support the running of regional festivals to cover some costs towards:

Payment will be made to the regional coordinator's base school. The base school principal is required to sign the funding application to approve the use of the school's account to pay for festival expenses once the allocated budget is transferred to the school.

Travel and associated expenses for schools to attend their relevant regional festival must be covered by the school.

How to apply

Schools do not need to apply for this funding.

Existing Regional Co-ordinators are already identified to assist with Fanfare festivals.

Regional Co-ordinators submit a Regional Co-ordinator Funding Application to access funds from the program.
