School ICT Supplementary Grant - Fast Growth

Purpose

To assist fast growth schools to develop and implement information and technologies (ICT).

This is additional funding for selected schools which have increased most rapidly in student enrolment since the issue of the November School ICT Supplementary payment the previous year.

Duration of Program

Ongoing

Eligibility

All state education facilities with changes in enrolments of greater than 13%.

Allocation of Funds

Each year, funds from the annual School ICT Supplementary appropriation are retained for distribution to fast growth schools and schools encountering any extraordinary ICT related funding issues.

The identification of fast growth schools is based on the change in the July (previous year) and February (following year) student FTE enrolments where the change exceeds 13 per cent.

The final list of funded schools is determined based on available budget and enrolment growth.

Annually, the number of schools receiving supplementary growth funding has varied between 20 and 38.
