Payments are made to schools for prize money for awards such as the Iwasaki Sangyo Japanese Travel Bursaries and Achievement Awards Program. Funding could also be for the StuditaliA Prize ceremony if the host school incurs expenses.
Funding comes from both state and outside contributions and is to be spent on related material and resources.

Cash grant to school
Funding is to be used for related teaching and learning materials for the school.
Approximately six schools per year receive funding, but this can vary.
The amount that the school receives in the case of the Iwasaki Sangyo payment is determined by the original Trust Account agreement. These original funds allotted by the Iwasaki Sangyo group are invested and the payment is determined by the interest received on the funds. A certain amount is presented to the recipients of the award and another amount allotted to the school where the recipient is studying.
