International Services - Student Exchanges

Purpose

To pay schools for expenses incurred during visits to Queensland by exchange students on official programs e.g. Kobe students

Expenditure guidelines

As outlined in Memoranda of Understanding (MOU) agreements

Duration of program

Ongoing and usually related to MOU between the education departments of various countries and the Queensland Department of Education and Training

Cash payment to school

Payment details

Could include costs incurred by school for transport arrangements, excursions, and accommodation (homestay)

Allocation of funds

Approximately six schools per year receive funding, but this can vary.

Data requirements

Schools provide details of the expenditure e.g. the cost of transport via email. Invoices are retained at school. In the case of homestay payments these costs are set out in the MOU agreement.
