Behaviour Management - Positive Learning Centres

Purpose

To assist Positive Learning Centres to support students of compulsory school age, enrolled in a state school, who at a given point in time require intervention beyond the capacity of a conventional classroom.

The aim is to reintegrate students into mainstream schooling or into more appropriate learning or vocational pathways.

Each Positive Learning Centre determines its own goals, education program and referral/selection procedures, in consultation with a reference or management group comprising regional office representatives, senior guidance officers and school-based personnel (typically a principal).
