The purpose of the program is to:
Funds are provided to schools for Teacher Relief (TRS) to cover teachers undertaking professional development. The program is offered for Years 4-7.
No school acquittals are required.

Cash grant to school
Payments are ongoing as teachers undertake professional development.
Rollout of the program is scheduled as 15% by June 2010, 60% by June 2011, and 100% by June 2012.
Payments are based on the TRS rate of payment and the number of days of professional development.
