Showcase Awards for Excellence in Schools

Purpose

To recognise and reward state schools that are significantly improving student learning outcomes through excellent teaching practice.

Winning schools are expected to further develop the recognised program through a range of strategies including study leave, research, professional development, resources, or publication and distribution.

Eligibility

Applications are open to all state school employees and volunteers, either as teams or individuals, within the Department of Education and Training.

School programs that have won a Showcase state award in a previous year cannot submit the same program again.

Allocation of funds

Regional awards $1,000
State Finalist awards $7,500
State awards $25,000

Payment details

Payments are made soon after each phase of the awards program in approximately June, August and November each year.

How to apply

Nominations may be submitted by schools, clusters of schools or Regional Directors who have identified school programs or initiatives in their region worthy of recognition.
