The Digital Education Revolution
initiative of the Australian Government is providing funding for new or upgraded information and communications technology (ICT) for secondary schools with students in Years 9 to 12 with the aim of achieving a one to one computer to student ratio for all Year 9 to 12 students.
The achievement of this aim for state schools will be through active participation in progressive Rounds.
To assist state schools to actively participate in the Fund, the department is ensuring competitive pricing for computer purchases through PurchaseIT and coordinated deployment and infrastructure support through the appointment of a National Secondary Schools Computer Fund (NSSCF) project manager.
