Smart Choices Workshop

Smart Choices Workshop Masterclass

In 2013, Education Queensland will present a free Smart Choices Masterclass for tuckshop convenors, volunteers and parent organisation representatives. Registration is limited to three participants per school.

Date: 21 October 2013

Venue: Royal International Convention Centre, Bowen Hills, Brisbane

Time: 9am - 4pm

Featuring skill sessions and live cooking demonstrations with Alison Taafe, celebrity chef, author and award winning culinary educator.

Alison is Australia's Fun, Fast and Fabulous celebrity Chef. She is an award winning chef and food educator appearing regularly on television and radio in Australia and presenting live cooking shows.

Smart Choices Workshop

In 2012 Education Queensland, in partnership with Nutrition Australia (Qld) and the Queensland Association of School Tuckshops (QAST) delivered a series of Smart Choices workshops across the state.

The workshops provided advice and tips for tuckshop convenors, volunteers, parent organisations and schools on creating healthy tuckshop menus, supplying healthy foods and drinks at sporting and fundraising events and how to successfully market and promote these products.

You can view presentations from the workshops including a cooking demonstration with recipes and take the introductory quiz to test your knowledge of Smart Choices.
