This information provides guidance to principals regarding the implementation of CPR for Life in schools.
CPR for Life in schools provides skills training in single operator adult cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), in accordance with Australian Resuscitation Council
guidelines, to all Year 10 and 12 state school students.
Recognition of prior learning (RPL) may be given to students for CPR training achieved through other programs where validated by the school (e.g. Queensland Ambulance Service, St John's Ambulance, Surf Life Saving Queensland or Red Cross).
CPR for Life in schools skills training does not constitute a CPR or first aid qualification for the purpose of workplace health and safety in Queensland.
