HIV, hepatitis C and sexually transmissible infections education

This information provides guidance to principals regarding the implementation of HIV, hepatitis C and sexually transmissible infections (STIs) education.

Schools, parents and the community share the task of educating young people about HIV, hepatitis C and STIs. Schools are well placed to enhance the information children receive at home.

Education and prevention programs should develop the knowledge, skills and attitudes about HIV, hepatitis C and STIs. Programs should be delivered as part of a broader sexuality and relationships education program. When planning for your school:
