Centres of Excellence

Through the implementation of the Action Plan 2003-2005, Education Queensland will identify up to 10 schools as Partners for Success Centres of Excellence. These centres will showcase practices that enabled them to meet or exceed the targets set in one or more of the priority areas.

Schools were nominated and selected to become a Partners for Success Centre of Excellence for producing marked improvements in one of the four key priority areas within the Partners for Success Action Plan 2003-2005. Those areas are:

These schools received $20,000 in order to share exemplar practices with other schools and address the key priority areas through workshops, teleconferencing, guest lectures, multimedia tools etc.

There are presently 11 Partners for Success Centres of Excellence:

Selection process

A nominated panel led by the Director, Indigenous Education Leadership Institute, Cherbourg has selected each Partners for Success Centre of Excellence and High Achiever Principal, with schools encouraged to use in-school data to support their application. Accepted school data included:
