Cultural Awareness

Crossing Cultures

In recognising the diversities of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures, histories and languages and beliefs throughout the state, the Department of Education Queensland recognises the need for employees to develop both a broad understanding of cultural factors common to most Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as well as the cultural factors of the local community in which they work.
