The Department supports and participates in a range of events that benefit Indigenous people.
Closing the gap is the regular newsletter produced by the Division of Indigenous Education and Training Futures (DIETF) in the Department of Education and Training. The newsletter updates on the work being done to close the gap between Indigenous and non-Indigenous people in learning and life outcomes, particularly as it relates to the Queensland Government 's Closing the Gap 
education strategy. Contributions and feedback are welcome and can be sent to the Editor.
