Transition Support Services
813k (TSS) aims to support Indigenous students who leave their home communities in the Cape York, Northern Peninsula Area and Torres Strait Islands to pursue their secondary education at a school in another area.
This evaluation of TSS examines the impact of the service on the transition of Indigenous students to secondary school away from their home community, the students ' preparation for the transition, on-time arrival at their school, and adjustment to, and retention at their school.
The TSS has developed a website
that provides related information and access to resources for remote area clients, and to personnel supporting them.
Visit the ISSU FNQ for more information on the Transition Support Service or contact Sandy Russo on (07) 4044 5621.
