Queensland state schools are among the best in the world with many proud achievements. Strong partnerships between principals, school staff and their school communities results in the best possible outcomes for students.
Queensland state school principals and their communities already make many of the day-to-day decisions about how their school operates. They also work together to plan for the future of their school.
Through Local decisions: stronger school communities
441k, the Queensland Government is seeking the views of principals, teachers, support staff, parents, students and school communities on the right balance between flexibility and support for local decision making in every Queensland state school.
Our goal is to ensure that principals and school communities are supported to make decisions about managing people, places and resources to improve learning in Queensland state schools.
Responses closed on 30 March 2012. We are currently considering all responses to support principals and school communities in making decisions about managing people, places and resources to improve learning in Queensland state schools.
A report of the consultations will be available on this website.
