Management Issues
It must be emphasised that no software program can guarantee 100% freedom from exposure to inappropriate sites.
- The school behaviour management policy should provide guidelines on the management of users who deliberately seek out inappropriate sites
- An Acceptable Use Policy is in place
- All students and their parent/guardian must sign an Acceptable Use Agreement Form
- Access to the Internet is supervised as much as possible
- Access to the WWW is available to users only when required for curriculum-related research
- Teachers preview all sites required for their lessons
- Teachers use the Curriculum Resource Reviews, developed by curriculum reviewers, to assist in the choice of sites
- EduList is used as it contains sites reviewed by Education Queensland reviewers and chosen for their relevance to the curriculum
- Teachers and students use the search facilities available through the Curriculum Exchange (new window)
