The Internet connection at your school is limited and if you want to use the Internet and not be slowed down, there are some things you can do. This list shows you some things you can do to make the Internet connection at your school faster.

Sending emails to your friends
Sending emails to your friends can slow down the network, even if they are sitting next to you.

If you are going to see your friends later on, don't send them an email. If you do need to send emails to your friends, don't do it during class time and don 't attach files unless you really need to.

Many Internet email sites rely on advertising to generate income. When you are on these sites the ads constantly refresh, which slows the network down.

Downloading large files
Some files and file types are larger than others and downloading these can slow down the network.

While messaging is a great way to communicate with your friends, it is also a great way to slow down the network.

While computers and the Internet allow you to do many things at once, it causes the network to slow.
