Celebration Week

Everybody who takes part in the Premier's Reading Challenge should celebrate their reading achievements!

In 2008, schools and participants are encouraged to celebrate their reading achievements by holding classroom, school or home celebrations during Celebration Week, from 13 - 17 October.

Certificates

For participants who complete the Challenge, certificates signed by the Premier will be mailed to schools and homes between 6 - 10 October, in time to be presented during Celebration Week.

A special certificate (new window) 892k is available for principals, teachers, parents/caregivers or librarians to reward participants for their reading achievements at every level - even if they did not complete the challenge. Please note that this is not the official certificate from the Premier of Queensland.

Outstanding Participation

Schools which achieve 100% participation in the challenge will go into a lucky draw prize to win one of 24 book vouchers valued at $200 each.

Schools with 100% participation will be divided into the following three categories:

Small - for schools with less than 100 students
Medium - for schools with more than 100, but less than 400 students
Large - for schools with more than 400 students.

Schools that have been part of the challenge since its inception in 2006 - will also be in the running for various lucky draw prizes from our great supporters at Rugby League Reads . These prizes include:

Four tickets to the World Cup final in Brisbane on 22 November 2008
One signed Queensland State of Origin jersey
Three signed footballs from our Queensland teams
One signed Kangaroo's jersey.

Individual Readers

All individual readers who meet the challenge will go into the draw to win one of four $50 book vouchers.

All prize draws will be drawn on 3 October 2008; All results are final; No correspondence will be entered into.
