Robbie the Reader is back!
Who is Robbie the Reader? He's the proud mascot for the Premier's Reading Challenge.
Robbie is very excited that this year's Challenge is about to start! Last year he worked hard and read all 20 books to complete the Challenge. He was so thrilled with his certificate signed by the Premier that he has hung it on his bedroom wall at home.
Robbie loves to be involved with the Premier's Reading Challenge because he enjoys reading so much! He started reading when he was four years old.
Reading isn't the only thing Robbie enjoys: he also loves to spend time with his friends and play soccer and cricket. He's a very active guy!
This year, Robbie has put together some fun activity sheets you can do in your spare time. There are great puzzles to work out and games to play — there is even a bookmark you can print off, decorate and use to mark the page in your book!
Robbie loves being part of the Challenge and can't wait for everyone to begin reading on Monday 11 May 2009.
