Robbie the Reader

Who is Robbie the Reader? Robbie is the Premier's Reading Challenge proud mascot.

Robbie wanted to be involved with the Premier's Reading Challenge because he enjoys reading so much! He started reading when he was four years old. Robbie's favourite book is James and the Giant Peach written by Roald Dahl, "I wish I could crawl inside a giant peach and go on a magical adventure like James!"

Robbie also enjoys spending time with his friends from school playing soccer and cricket. Robbie says "After a long, tiring day at school, I love going home to read a book. At the moment, I'm reading Emily Eyefinger and the Lost Treasure by Duncan Ball about a girl who has a third eye in the tip of her finger. It's pretty exciting!"

Robbie loves being part of the Challenge and can't wait for the reading period to begin on Wednesday, 28 May 2008.
