School Annual Report Instructions

The Annual Reporting Policy for all Queensland Schools and accompanying guidelines can accessed online by schools. The Policy (or checklist) incorporates both the Queensland Government and Australian Government annual reporting requirements for all Queensland schools.

To assist state schools to meet the obligatory 30 June deadline for publishing the school annual report on the school website, a prepopulated template with mandated content is emailed to all state school principals.

What information should you provide?

The School Annual Report Template clearly outlines in red the required information.

All items provided in the Template are required to be included in this school annual report. Only those sections that are not applicable to the schools such as Year 12 Outcomes for a Primary school can be deleted.

Whilst it is not necessary to provide any information beyond what is required in the policy and template, additional information about your school and its activities is always welcomed by your community and can be published on your website in other documents.

The Corporate Data Warehouse and the prepolulated School Annual Report template sent to each state school Principal are definitive sources for the required school information.

What writing style should you use?

Always use 'plain English' and not educational jargon.

Be brief in what you say.
