A flexible arrangement allows all or part of a student's educational program to be delivered by another education provider such as a community organisation that offers special programs for children and young people, or another school (state or non-state).
Early or delayed entry to Prep are options which may be considered in specific circumstances and where it is in a child's best educational interests.
An exemption from compulsory schooling or the compulsory participation phase is available when a child or a young person cannot attend or it would be unreasonable in all of the circumstances for them to attend school or participate in an eligible option for a period of more than ten consecutive school days.
For more information on circumstances where an exemption may apply see Circumstances for exemption from compulsory schooling.
The Religious instruction policy statement supports schools to provide religious instruction in accordance with legislative requirements.
All schools are required to notify parents on the same day if a student is absent from school without explanation. Schools can choose the notification process that best suits their community (e.g. phone call, SMS, email, home visits). For more information, please see the Frequently asked questions or the Managing Student Absences and Enforcing Enrolment and Attendance at State Schools procedure .
