School Disciplinary Absences

The information presented in the following tables relates to School Disciplinary Absences (SDA) applied in State schools. Many strategies are available to schools to provide appropriate consequences for misbehaviour. School Disciplinary Absence information is comprised of the following categories:

• Short Suspensions (1-5 days)
• Long Suspensions (6-20 days)
• Suspensions with recommendation for Exclusion and
• Cancellations of enrolment

These are last resort options for addressing serious behaviour or refusal to participate in the school's program.
