Seven state schools have been built in high-growth areas of South East Queensland following the awarding of a $1.1 billion dollar contract to the Aspire School consortium which will deliver the SEQ Public Private Partnership (PPP) Schools project.
The Aspire Schools consortium designed, built and will continue to maintain six new primary schools and one new high school in the rapidly-growing Sunshine Coast, Western Corridor, the Gold Coast and Redlands regions. See a map of new schools to be built
.
The project generated an estimated 2150 new jobs over the four and half year construction period with additional jobs to be created during the 30-year ongoing maintenance period delivered by the consortium.

In addition, while there is not expected to be a requirement to complete a Wetlands Management Plan for the Bellbird Park and East Coomera site, there are wetlands in the vicinity of both sites.
