Examples of how ICT can enhance learning Key learning area Sample resource

Participate in an online chat. Introduce yourself, be considerate of differing opinions, don't type in capitals, make a positive contribution to the chat, don't use sarcasm, use text message abbreviations when appropriate. Then, create a 'chatiquette' poster outlining these issues.

Participate in a class discussion about the rationale and implications of common netiquette guidelines. Collaboratively engage in an online environment such as a virtual classroom (available through The Learning Plane) using wikis, blogs and chats. Develop a class code of practice including guidelines for safe, responsible and respectful behaviour while working in an online environment at school and at home.
