Non-warranty repairs: the process

On this page:

For PC laptops

When a PC laptop is sent to the supplier for non-warranty repairs, the supplier's technician will conduct an inspection, undergo the repairs and raise a quote for the total cost of repairing and transporting the damaged laptop.

Once non-warranty repairs have been completed, the supplier will invoice the TAFE institute.

When your institute receives the non-warranty repair quote, a purchase order should be raised and the total outstanding invoice must be paid.

The supplier will organise the return of the repaired laptop to your TAFE institute.

For Apple MacBooks

When an Apple MacBook requires non-warranty repairs, your institute will be required to obtain a quote from an Apple retailer.

Once you have received a quote, forward a copy to the Computers for Teachers team.

The team will co-ordinate the repair.

After non-warranty repairs have been completed, the retailer will invoice the school.

Your institute will need to pay this invoice.
