Fixing laptops under warranty

If your laptop is damaged or experiences a fault, report it immediately to your school's Orange Card Holder or systems technician.

If they cannot resolve the problem, contact the Service Centre on 1800 680 445.

If Service Centre staff cannot resolve the problem, they will refer the job to the laptop supplier.

The laptop supplier will assess whether the job is a warranty repair or non-warranty repair.

Before sending your laptop for repair

Before you send your laptop away for repair, back up all existing folders and files (PDF, 556k) on your laptop's C:\ and D:\ drives.

This is especially important if your laptop is being repaired by its supplier. Suppliers do not guarantee that data on your laptop will be preserved during repairs.
