Process to replace a laptop lost in a fire or natural disaster
If you laptop is lost in a fire or natural disaster, it is important that you follow the below process to ensure you get a replacement machine as soon as possible.
| Step 1 | Complete the EQ38 Resource Replacement Scheme form. (DETE employees only) |

| Step 2 | Fax the EQ38 Resource Replacement Scheme form (DETE employees only) to the Resource Replacement Scheme team on (07) 3237 1135. |
| Step 3 | Fax the EQ38 Resource Replacement Scheme form (DETE employees only) and additional supporting evidence to the Computers for Teachers team on (07) 3421 6441. |
| Step 4 | The Computers for Teachers team will order a replacement laptop and notify the school of the cost. |
| Step 5 | The school will need to email confirmation of a debit for the replacement laptop. |
| Step 6 | The replacement laptop will be delivered to the school. |
| Step 7 | The school should follow the instructions in the email sent from Computers for Teachers. |
