Self Insurance Scheme

To locate documents:
- Go to Service Centre Online and type the name of the document (or subject matter) into the search field.
- Click search.
It is a condition of the Computers for Teachers initiative that all laptops are at all times in a fully serviceable condition or undergoing appropriate repair action to bring the laptop and all accessories up to a fully serviceable condition.
The Computers for Teachers team has established a self-insurance scheme to financially assist schools with the cost of repairs associated with legitimate cases of accidental non-warranty damage or replacing non-warranty written off laptops.
If your school would like to claim reimbursement for a Dell or Apple MacBook laptop, please:
- pay any outstanding repair/replacement invoice
- submit a claim for reimbursement (DOC, 399k) form and proof of invoice payment to the Computer for Teachers team.
When this process is complete, your school will be reimbursed through GAPS for the replacement or repair costs, less a $250 administration fee.
