Identity and Access Management
Identity and Access Management (IAM) represents a category of interrelated solutions that are employed to provide user registration, authentication, access rights and restrictions, account profiles, passwords and other attributes required to support a range of entity interactions with departmental and Queensland Government applications or systems.
IAM provides effective, streamlined security and authentication processes to provide students, teachers, school support staff and parents with secure, simplified access to information and services appropriate to their roles.
In implementing effective identity and access management processes and technologies, IAM ensures Queensland state schools comply with mandatory and best practice standards defined in the Queensland Government policy and position papers covering identity management, authentication and authorisation.
New additions to iRegister will enable a range of new functions e.g. teachers will be able to arrange to change their base IT account location and staff can request access to applications such as One School at additional locations.
