Seeking endorsement
Departmental employees and non-departmental workers can seek endorsement:
- through MOE Orange Card Administration (MOCA) website
- by sending an email to the Orange Card mailbox.
If you work across a number of schools, you need to gain Orange Card accreditation and then seek separate endorsement from representatives of each school.
Seeking endorsement through MOCA
If you can access OnePortal, seek endorsement through the MOCA website.
All departmental employees should use this site.
Once you access the site, click on Apply in the left-hand navigation and complete the online form.
Departmental employees need to provide:
- name
- date of birth
- employee number
- department email address (home ISP email addresses are not to be used)
- endorser name
- endorser departmental email address (specific to the user - the.principal@school.eq.edu.au should not be used).
Non-departmental workers need to provide:
- name
- iRegister ID (as issued by endorser)
- date of birth
- billing address
- company or departmental email address (generic email addresses are not to be used - e.g. support@my.com)
- endorser name
- endorser departmental email address (specific to the user - the.principal@school.eq.edu.au should not be used).
When the form is filled out, click on the Apply button.
An email will be sent to your endorser, who needs to endorse your application.
Once their endorsement has been verified, you will receive an email detailing how to access the Orange Card course.
Seeking endorsement via email
This option is for people who cannot access OnePortal. DETE employees should not use this option unless technical issues prevent them from using the MOCA website.
Instead, their endorsers need to send an email to orange.card@dete.qld.gov.au.
Endorsers need to provide the following information for DETE employees:
- applicant's name
- applicant's date of birth
- applicant's employee number
- applicant's departmental email address (home ISP email addresses are not to be used)
- endorser's name
- endorser's departmental email address (specific to the user - the.principal@school.eq.edu.au should not be used)
- endorser's school or business location
- endorser's school or business location code.
Endorsers of non-departmental workers need to provide:
- applicant's name
- applicant's iRegister ID (as issued by endorser)
- applicant's date of birth
- applicant's billing address
- applicant's company or departmental email address (generic email addresses are not to be used e.g. support@my.com)
- endorser's name
- endorser's departmental email address (specific to the user - the.principal@school.eq.edu.au should not be used)
- endorser's school or business location
- endorser's school or business location code.
Once an endorsement has been verified, applicants will receive an email detailing how to access the Orange Card course.
