Framework for Integrated Planning
Development of a School ICT Plan is an annual requirement for schools.
One of the first things to do when planning for ICT in your school is to conduct an audit of what you already have. There are four areas to consider:
Schools are supported in establishing a culture of improvement and accountability through:
- The School Improvement and Accountability Framework (SIAF) provides an integrated framework for Education Queensland schools to achieve and sustain the vision of Queensland State Education - 2010, the Education and Training Reforms for the Future agenda and the outcomes and targets of Destination 2010. This framework assists schools to integrate Effective Planning, provide Transparent Reporting and to Assure Quality through processes that are valid, rigorous and contestable.
- Destination 2010 (new window) (2006-2008) is the action plan to implement the directions for change established by Queensland State Education - 2010 and the reforms of ETRF. It enables Education Queensland to focus on the outcomes, performance indicators, measures and targets that support the objectives of Learning, Schools, Workforce, School Services and Portfolio Relationships.
- The School Strategic Plan is the strategic planning document for schools that spans a three-year period and supports the development of the AOP. The School Strategic Plan responds to the planned outcomes, performance indicators and targets of Destination 2010. It also responds to the school context and school community priorities identified through the Triennial School Review process.
- The Annual Operational Plan (AOP) establishes each school's direction for the next 12 months. It is developed by each principal in collaboration with their school and community, and links with the School Strategic Plan and Destination 2010.
- The 2007-2011 Information and Knowledge Strategic Plan includes five objectives relating to sustainability, investment, governance, transformation and utilisation.
- Believe Achieve Succeed 2008 - 2011 explores investing in school improvement.
- The 2009-2013 Strategic Plan identifies how we will work to achieve our goals, by creating a capable, agile and sustainable organisation.
