Managing Internet connection speeds
Managing Internet connection speeds
Schools throughout the state are taking to digital ways of teaching and learning at an unprecedented rate. Much of the work done by corporate and school administration staff is now digital as well. These factors are putting pressure on Internet connection speeds in schools and corporate offices alike.
During February 2009 and November 2011, there was a 429% increase in Internet use within the department, representing a sharp jump in the number of staff and students using the web.
The department is working with its Internet service provider on ways to improve connection speeds to meet the ever-growing demand for access.
Everyone in the department - teachers, students and administration staff alike - has an important role to play as well.
