Digital Pedagogy
Licence

A valuable experience for Oonoonba teacher
Townsville teacher Trish Lonergan has taken a massive journey and didn't even have to leave her classroom to do it.

The Oonoonba State School teacher received the ICT Pedagogical Licence in Term 4, 2008, but at the beginning of 2009 she claimed to have little computer savvy at all.

Digital Pedagogy Licence: seek accreditation

Once you have finished working towards accreditation, follow these steps.

Step 1: Talk with your principal or curriculum leader

They will need to write and sign a supporting statement to endorse that your portfolio reflects your everyday pedagogy.

Step 2: Seek your accredited facilitator's support

Your accredited facilitator needs to provide you with feedback on the progress of your digital portfolio. Your portfolio cannot be reviewed without their support.

Step 3: Request a digital portfolio review

Use the online request form. external page (will open in a new window) (Requests are accepted through this form only.)

An example of the form (new window) 44k Microsoft® Word document is available to help you prepare your online request.

Please allow up to six weeks to receive feedback on your digital portfolio.

Independent submissions require a portfolio review fee of $165 (GST inclusive). You will need to lodge the payment form (new window) 244k Microsoft® Word document when your request a digital portfolio review.

Step 4: Ensure you receive a confirmation email

If you haven't within a week of requesting a digital portfolio review, contact the Smart Classrooms Professional Development team on (07) 3421 6505 or through email.

Hint

Once you gain licence accreditation, keep a copy of your digital portfolio. You need your portfolio to seek accreditation with the advanced licence or to renew your licence.
