Licence
More...

When it comes to seeking Digital Pedagogy Licence accreditation, the more information you provide, the better is your chance of becoming accredited.
But, as Home Hill State High School teacher Ros Gall found out, the information that is presented must be the 'right' information.
Digital Pedagogy Licence: work towards
A good way to start is by reviewing your own ICT-rich unit plans or programs of work.
If you hold an ICT Certificate, the unit or program you presented to gain certificate accreditation is ideal to begin with. Before you can seek accreditation with the licence, you need to implement this unit or program and collect student work samples, and implement other ICT-rich units/programs as well.
Also, you may like to engage in the Digital Pedagogy Pack. By working through the pack, you will be in a better position to get the most from ICT to support, enhance, enable and transform teaching and learning, including planning, assessing and reporting.
Talk with your principal or curriculum leader
Work with them to help you confirm the suitability of the Digital Pedagogy Licence to you. Also, carefully read the information available on this website - especially the licence indicators.
Choose a pathway
Three pathways can lead you to accreditation.
Pathway 1: ICT Curriculum Integration Course
This course is facilitated and runs for 10 weeks.
Pathway 2: Regional workshops
To find out more about these workshops, contact your Regional Technology Manager.
Pathway 3: Independent
You may not like to participate in the ICT Online Curriculum Integration Course or regional workshops because you:
- believe you already meet the Digital Pedagogy Licence indicators
- have undertaken other professional development to help them meet the indicators of the licence, including the:
- Digital Pedagogy Pack
- other Smart Classrooms Digital Pedagogies initiatives.
Independent submissions require a portfolio review fee of $165 (GST inclusive). This payment form (new window)
244k
will need to be lodged at the time of the portfolio submission.
Construct a digital portfolio
Regardless of the pathway you choose, you will need to construct a digital portfolio demonstrating that your pedagogy aligns with the Digital Pedagogy Licence indicators.
The content and format of your portfolio needs to follow a set of guidelines.

Before you can seek licence accreditation, you will need to run your digital portfolio by an accredited facilitator. These people are responsible for reviewing portfolios to determine whether applicants' pedagogy aligns with the Digital Pedagogy Licence. If you are following the regional workshops or ICT Curriculum Integration Course pathways, you will be assigned an accredited facilitator. If you are following the independent pathway, contact the Smart Classrooms Professional Development team (07) 3421 6505 or through email. The team can assign a facilitator to you.
If you need some extra help with building your ICT skills, make sure you access the comprehensive range of online Atomic Learning.
When you have constructed your portfolio, you are ready to seek Digital Pedagogy Licence accreditation.
