Immigrants benefit from digital pedagogy
A Woodridge State School teacher is going to great lengths to ensure her students get the most from their time in the classroom. With three-quarters of the school's population from non-English speaking homes, Belinda Johnston has embraced digital pedagogy - a concept that enhances her teaching practices and helps all students learn.

ICT Certificate: progress further

The Smart Classrooms Professional Development Framework recognises the work that you are doing everyday with your students. As your pedagogy changes, the framework recognises this by awarding you a higher qualification.

If you hold an ICT Certificate, consider progressing to the Digital Pedagogy Licence.

When reading the Digital Pedagogy Licence indicators, you will see an emphasis on contemporary teaching and learning.

Working towards the Digital Pedagogy Licence involves framing your thinking around the ways that digital pedagogy can help create autonomous and independent lifelong learners.

Digital pedagogy does that by giving students access to a broader range of knowledge and ideas, by making the potential for thinking and learning more visible, and by leveraging student collaboration and engagement with the world outside the classroom.

To develop your thinking about digital pedagogies, gather a group of colleagues like you and enrol together in the Digital Pedagogy Pack.

Then, consider working towards licence accreditation.
