Whole school gains ICT Certificates

A Far North Queensland school has shown they are 100 per cent behind Education Queensland's initiative to implement ICT into the classroom.

In fact, they are so dedicated that all four teachers at Coen State School have completed the first level of the Smart Classrooms PD Framework.

ICT Certificate: renew

Each ICT Certificate is current for three years from its date of issue.

This three year period allows time for you to work towards your Digital Pedagogy Licence

Unsure when your ICT Certificate expires, what needs to be done?

Initially, you should visit the myframework application and explore your journey within the Smart Classrooms Professional Development Framework (only accessible on the DET network).

Using myframework, you can:

When you have this information, it is recommended that you talk with your principal or delegate to help you confirm whether renewing the certificate or progressing further in the Smart Classrooms Professional Development Framework is best for you.

It is important you realise that the pathway to renew your ICT Certificate is different to your initial journey. When you notify your intent to renew your certificate in the myframework application, only the pathways you have not previously taken will be available to you.

Working towards the Digital Pedagogy Licence is the best option as it demonstrates growth in your pedagogy. This could also be incorporated into your Developing Performance plan.
