Discovery Pack

Who is it for?

The Discovery Pack is ideal for teachers with elementary ICT skills who are planning to seek ICT Certificate accreditation.

What is it?

The pack contains a range of activities and documents to start you on your digital pedagogy journey.
Its materials are arranged into four groups:

My Computer
Using the Internet
Teaching and Work
Health, Safety and Ethics.

They are not all self-paced and you may need to work with a mentor or colleague to ensure you work at your level of skill. Many of the activities are supported with print materials or small video clips.

What's in it for me?

By going through the Discovery Pack, you will develop a set of basic skills that will allow you to become ICT-productive very quickly.

This will put you in a better position to seek ICT Certificate accreditation.

How can I access it?

If you have received a laptop computer through the Computers for Teachers initiative, you can access the pack through the Computers for Teachers Blackboard community (new window).

Once you click on this link, log into My eLearn using your Learning Place User ID and Password. Then, click on the 'Computers for Teachers Initiative / Discovery Pack' link under My Organisations.

If you want to enrol in this community before the laptops arrive at your school, email a request to the Learning Place. You need to request enrolment in the Computers for Teachers Blackboard community.
