Digital Pedagogy Pack: advice for leaders
Can I become a leader?
Anyone can lead the Digital Pedagogy Pack (this link is for departmental staff only). However, school leaders with curriculum knowledge combined with a Digital Pedagogy Licence are better positioned. They will be more familiar with the content and requirements of the pack's tasks.
If you don't hold a Digital Pedagogy Licence, consider working alongside a licence holder.
Who is the pack for?
The pack is for all school teachers.
You may wish to use it to engage all your teachers in conversations about digital pedagogy, or to help a group of your teachers work towards Digital Pedagogy Licence accreditation.
What's my role?
As a Digital Pedagogy Pack leader, you need to:
- identify potential participants and work out how they will be grouped
- organise a venue and suitable times for your participants to meet either face-to-face or online
- lead group sessions
- support participants through their learning journeys.
How do I lead the pack?

These resources will help you understand how to use the pack to lead professional development sessions that are tailored to your teachers' needs and your school's context.
Points to consider
- All teachers need to understand that working through the pack is a collaborative, not individual, process.
- At various times, teachers may need their own time away from the group to collate information or investigate relevant websites before discussing their ideas with the group. This is a helpful way for teachers to experience the benefits of anywhere, any time learning.
- Because there is no deadline for completing the pack, groups can pace themselves to fit an agreed schedule. However, suitable meeting times need to be discussed and agreed upon.
How can I access the pack?
Access the pack here (this link is for departmental staff only).
Once you enrol in the course, you can download the pack and use it without Internet access.
