Introducing the DETA Apple 'Mac MOE Solution'

Under the Smart Classrooms ICT Support for Schools Initiative, the Department in conjunction with Apple Computer Australia has developed a standardised Mac solution for deployment to state schools within the Managed Operating Environment v2.0 framework.

This solution offering, a first for Queensland state schools, will provide a standardised desktop client, management options and structured support for MOE schools utilising Apple hardware and software products within the digital classroom.

The Mac MOE solution utilising Apple's Mac OS X 10.4 'Tiger' and 10.5 'Leopard' Operating System has been successfully piloted and is in the process of being released to all regions.
