Overview

School ICT Plans are mandatory annual resourcing plans completed by all schools, detailing how they intend to allocate resources to meet their individual targets for each ICT Driver. They are integral to each school's annual planning process.

Each year, state school principals complete their School ICT Plans online.

In developing their School ICT Plans, schools need to:

  • analyse and discuss their individual School ICT Index Reports to identify and discuss priority areas for development
  • implement wide-ranging project activities that facilitate incremental and parallel improvement in the integration of ICT into learning across all ICT Drivers
  • allocate resources to support the achievement of targets
  • identify how they will monitor and measure their achievement of the targets
  • provide adequate funding to attain each priority target.

School administrators can access the Diagnostic Tools for Planning Integration for further advice on completing their School ICT Plans.

Main objective

The main objective of the School ICT Plans is to help make ICT integral to learning by providing schools with an appropriate framework for resourcing their classrooms with ICT.
