Online ICT Pedagogical Licence Advanced Community

Teachers planning to apply for the ICT Pedagogical Licence Advanced need to join and actively participate in the online ICT Pedagogical Licence Advanced Community.

Registrations for the August intake of community membership close on 21 July.

  • Community start date: 21 July 2008
  • Community end date: 15 September 2008
  • Participation cost: $270 inc GST (includes facilitator support and portfolio moderation fees associated with applying for the ICT Pedagogical Licence Advanced)

Priority registration will be given to teachers who hold the ICT Pedagogical Licence.

Participation required for advanced licence candidates

Active participation in the ICT Pedagogical Licence Advanced Community is required before teachers can submit their advanced licence portfolios for accreditation.

This is because the community helps teachers reflect on their principles, pedagogy and leadership practices about making ICT integral to teaching and learning. This supports teachers in creating their advanced licence portfolios: a key requirement for accreditation with the advanced licence.

A facilitated online community of professional learning

Scaffolded learning

As active community members, teachers will learn the strategies and tools required to develop their own online communities of practice and mentor their colleagues in making best use of online communities.

Reflecting and sharing

By participating in the ICT Pedagogical Licence Advanced Community, teachers will be able to reflect on and discuss with their colleagues innovative approaches that demonstrate leadership in ICT, and effective and innovative pedagogies leading to transformative learning with ICT.
